Questions buyers ask
Will DueLadder ever email my customers without asking me?
No. There is no auto-send mode. The ladder only drafts; a message sends only after you approve that exact message in the queue, and the send path refuses anything unapproved. That rule is enforced in code, not just written here.
Does it sync with my QuickBooks or Xero automatically?
The connections are real OAuth connections, and they activate with your own Intuit / Xero developer-app credentials configured on the server. Until those credentials are set, the connections page says “not configured” and nothing is simulated — you add invoices by hand or CSV import, and the ladder works the same way.
What do I need before an approved message can actually send?
Mail settings (SMTP) on the server. Without them, an approved message waits visibly as “awaiting mail configuration” and is never marked sent. You can see the held state in the queue at all times.
How do renewals and cancellation work?
License keys are monthly and never auto-renew. Cancelling means simply not buying next month’s key — your data stays in your account, and the Free plan keeps working. If a key does not work, contact us and we will make it right.
Is pricing per seat?
No. Pricing is per business, not per seat: Free $0, Pro $49/mo, Team $99/mo. Team adds multiple connected accounting organisations and priority support on top of everything in Pro.
What happens the moment an invoice is paid?
The chase stops. A sync that shows the invoice paid — or you marking it paid — cancels its pending drafts, writes a payment-stop entry to your audit log, and the ladder never drafts for that invoice again.
